I’ve been called many things in my time, and, given that I ran a newsroom or two, I’m only thinking of the “known knowns”. But “surfer dude”, never before. I’ll wear it proudly, thank you. As a fellow Californian once said: “Round, round, get around, I get around.” ;-)

Maybe the surf community should adopt Tsoi. What do you think?

And you had lunch with Nassim Taleb! Too cool. I am in Santa Cruz, not too much of a surfer though I've had dealings with the local surf industry. My daughter's school teams are the "Mission Hill Mavericks" and the logo is a giant wave - obviously any other meaning of the term is irrelevant here.
