I&#039;ve been called many things in my time, and, given that I ran a newsroom or two, I&#039;m only thinking of the &quot;known knowns&quot;.  But &quot;surfer dude&quot;, never before. I&#039;ll wear it proudly, thank you.  As a fellow Californian once said: &quot;Round, round, get around, I get around.&quot; ;-)

Maybe the surf community should adopt Tsoi.  What do you think?

		<description>Hey, I saw the post about Kino on 3Quarks, and now it turns out you&#039;re a surfer dude too! And you had lunch with Nassim Taleb! Too cool. I am in Santa Cruz, not too much of a surfer though I&#039;ve had dealings with the local surf industry. My daughter&#039;s school teams are the &quot;Mission Hill Mavericks&quot; and the logo is a giant wave - obviously any other meaning of the term is irrelevant here. 
Many moons ago I majored in Russian so I&#039;m looking forward to your promised trove of Kino memorobilia.
